WAC 388-78A-3050
Day rooms. (1) The boarding home must
provide one or more day room areas in which residents may
participate in social and recreational activities. Day room
areas include, but are not limited to:
(a) Solariums;
(b) Enclosed sun porches;
(c) Recreation rooms;
(d) Dining rooms; and
(e) Living rooms.
(2) The boarding home must provide a total minimum floor
space for day room areas of:
(a) One hundred fifty square feet, or ten square feet per
resident, whichever is larger, in boarding homes licensed on
or before December 31, 1988; or
(b) One hundred fifty square feet, or twenty square feet
per resident, whichever is larger, in boarding homes licensed
after December 31, 1988.
(3) The boarding home must provide day room areas with
comfortable furniture and furnishings that meet the residents'
needs.
