What are residential habilitation
services? Residential habilitation services (RHS) are
available in the CORE and community protection waivers.
(1) Residential habilitation services include assistance:
(a) With personal care and supervision; and
(b) To learn, improve or retain social and adaptive
skills necessary for living in the community.
(2) Residential habilitation services may provide
instruction and support addressing one or more of the
following outcomes:
(a) Health and safety;
(b) Personal power and choice;
(c) Competence and self-reliance;
(d) Positive recognition by self and others;
(e) Positive relationships; and
(f) Integration into the physical and social life of the
community.
